Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary: Located in the neighborhoods along the Western Ghats Idduki only 17 km from Munnar. This reserve was established for the conservation of endangered species of Nilgiri Thar. This park offers a spectacular view of nature, along with rare flora and fauna in their natural habitat. It is also home to Atlas Moth, Elephants, Sambhar, Gaur, Lion-tailed monkey, Nilgiri langur, tigers and leopards.
Aralam Wildlife: Located in the southeastern part of Kannur district and is the most northern Kerala Wildlife Reserve. Tourists can enjoy a game drive in an atmosphere of quiet sanctuary. It is known for different types of squirrels. One can also see leopard, jungle cat, hog deer group, Elephant and Bison. The best time to visit this reserve is between October to June.
